Immunizations and school/sport physicals
Your child's school physical may be one of the only times throughout the year he or she sees a doctor. Because of this, the American Academy of Pediatrics suggests providers use a child's yearly school physical as an opportunity to build and add to his or her complete medical history. This can help ensure your child's progress and development are monitored and potential emerging problems are detected.
If you haven't already scheduled appointments for your children's school physicals, now is the time to do it!
School physicals will include a review of the patient's immunization record; child will receive any required immunizations during the visit. It is imperative that patients arrive 15 minutes prior to the scheduled appointment time for the physical. The child will meet with a nurse or physician assistant to complete a medical history, vision screening, height, weight, blood pressure checks, and receive important age-specific information prior to the appointment.
At the time of visit your child will receive developmental screening, diabetic prevention discussion, screening for heart problems and sudden death syndrome, we also provide muscle and bones abnormalities tests. We also offer a weight loss program for overweight children.
By your request we may bill your insurance. Please, check with your carrier if this is a covered service prior to the appointment. For self pay patients we offer affordable price of $55 plus $25 per any immunization for a child younger than 19 years old.
Walk-ins are conducted by a certified medical provider and are offered during extended evening hours on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturday mornings.
